Steve has been involved in rowing since he was a high school rower at Loyola Academy. Since then he's raced, coached, been a member on a rowing board of directors, and is one of the only people in country who have the experience and knowledge to install a full buoyed race course.

Steve has been the person behind the Chicago Indoor Rowing Championships for close to a decade, helping to make the indoor rowing race one of the largest in the region. He was also one of the driving forces to establish the Southland race course on the Cal Sag Channel in Blue Island, IL, which is now Chicago's only fully buoyed 2k race course.

Steve handles race timing, regatta management, and finances for the Rowing Group.
